Now it looks like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 has also been completely leaked

It’s been a busy few days for leaked phone leaks – just a day after the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 was completely leaked, its brother, the Galaxy Z Flip 4, has been put in the spotlight.

This new information comes from a different (but equally reliable) filter, Yogesh Brar (opens in a new tab), who tweeted what he says is an almost complete list of specifications for the next style folding phone Samsung clamshell.

Apparently, this next phone will enjoy a 6.7-inch FHD + 120Hz display, just like the Z Flip 3, but with a 2.1-inch external display, which is slightly larger than the panel. 1.9-inch Flip from the previous generation.

There are said to be three cameras: a 12 MP main camera joined by an ultra-wide 12 MP camera on the back and a 10 MP selfie camera on the front. Apparently, these specifications have not changed with respect to Fold 3.

Also like this phone, the phone is said to include 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, 8 GB of RAM and is compatible with 5G networks.

Looks like there will be some changes with the Flip 3: apparently the charge is faster with 25 W, the battery capacity could be increased from 400 mAh to 3,700 mAh, supposedly the phone will work with Android 12 and it is said that the chipset is the Snapdragon 8 Plus. Gen 1.

This is, of course, a leak, so grab all that information with a pinch of salt. That said, some of the leaked information, such as the software and chipset, were things we were already sure of, because these specifications usually saw iterative updates.

Analysis: Not a big update … so far

Judging by these leaked specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 may not be a big improvement over its predecessor – few upgrades are minor and many areas have not seen any change.

But a list of specifications does not paint the full picture of a smartphone, especially a folding phone where there are more items at stake. The design is a more important consideration with a folding, as the hinge, the fold of the screen and the waterproofing have a spectacular impact on how long the device will last.

Hopefully, we’ll see some durability improvements with the Z Flip 4: Flip 3 users have reported issues with screen wrinkles after using the phone for a while. We’ve already heard that the new folding could come in a few different colors, but hopefully Samsung has some bigger design changes up its sleeves.
