Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has criticized the former coalition government for deliberately “grabbing resources” from the AEC in an attempt to restrict voting to Lingiari’s NT headquarters.
Albanese said the coalition government had tried to abolish the Lingiari headquarters and had restricted people working for the AEC in the Northern Territory.
“This came straight from a Republican right-wing gamebook,” he said.
“It was an outrage that happened.”
