Recast CEO Kosha Gada says former Prime Minister John Howard is “out of step” with mainstream Republicans over his views on former US President Donald Trump.
Ms Gada said that in certain circles, Mr Howard “is revered” and high-profile Republican families such as the Bushes, McCains and Cheneys value his opinion “and share it”.
“If you travel in other circles like the tens of millions of people who supported Trump in the ’16s and ’20s and still do today, including Trump personally, I don’t think they’re losing much sleep over the point of view of a former first Australian minister,” he told Sky News host Chris Smith.
“With these people, (Trump’s) support is only increasing, and they would actually disagree with the prime minister and say they see his presidency as a victory on paper.
“I think it’s out of step with where the top Republican voter is in America.”
