The pioneering Australian headset brand Nura has announced its first pair of headphones that offer lossless audio transmission via Bluetooth. The NuraTrue Pro are the second-generation wireless headphones that join Nura’s existing product portfolio. It’s been five years since Nura launched the original NuraPhone wireless headphones and the new model will be available for booking on Kickstarter starting today and will begin shipping later this year.
Thanks to Qualcomm’s latest audio technology, the NuraTrue supports lossless CD quality audio (16-bit, 44.1 kHz) via Bluetooth via the aptX Lossless codec for uncompressed and perfect audio. When combined with Nura’s custom sound technology, which measures a user’s hearing to create a custom EQ, the NuraTrue Pro should produce high-quality sound in a small, comfortable form factor.
NuraTrue Pro also includes a spatial audio mode powered by Swedish sound pioneer Dirac, which offers an immersive audio experience. Space audio can turn almost any stereo content into an immersive sound experience with a precise sound stage and perfect sound quality, from any source or streaming platform. Listeners can experience a more balanced sound and an expanded soundscape with all the spatial indications of the original stereo content.

NuraTrue Pro headphones also enhance the noise cancellation performance of its predecessor through adaptive active noise cancellation technology. A precision cancellation signal dynamically adapts to changes in headphone positioning and the input of three noise-sensing microphones that analyze background sounds that are then displayed using advanced digital signal processing.
The NuraTrue debuts with the Nura ProEQ, a popular feature that is available exclusively on the NuraTrue Pro and allows manual adjustment of the EQ using the Nura smartphone app. The NuraTrue Pro also uses Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint connections, allowing users to connect to multiple sources at once. The NuraTrue Pro supports dynamic switching of primary headphones, allowing you to use any of the headphones independently.
When it comes to making phone calls, advanced digital signal processing captures the user’s voice through four microphones, including a bone conduction sensor to improve the signal-to-noise ratio. Nura says the new headphones ensure that voice calls are sharp, even when there is a lot of background noise. The bone conduction sensor captures the vibrations of the user’s body to produce clearer speech in all environments.
With eight hours of playback time with a single charge and 24 hours of charge in the storage box, the … [+] NuraTrue Pro can play for up to 32 hours before the case needs to be recharged.

The NuraTrue Pro’s storage case can be charged wirelessly with any Qi-certified charging device and offers up to eight hours of playback on a single charge. With the headphones and charging case, there is up to 32 hours of listening.
Immersion slider is a basic feature of the Nura headphone line and allows users to increase or decrease the bass level according to their tastes, without this affecting the playback of high and medium frequencies. Each headset also has a touch sensor that can be configured with up to eight unique touch inputs that allow users to have full control without using their phone.
NuraTrue Pro also has sensors that can detect when the headphones are properly placed on your ear for the best listening experience. There are four silicone ear sizes included with the headphones, plus a foam ear set and two secure fit wing sizes.

Thanks to in-ear optical sensors, headphones can automatically turn off music when a headset is removed. As soon as it is put back in the ear, the music starts again. This auto pause behavior can be set so that the music stops when only one headset is removed or when both are removed. It can be turned off completely through the Nura add-on app, available in both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. The app is used to create a unique hearing profile for the user and to customize the headset.
Finally, the NuraTrue Pro headphones work with the latest-generation Qualcomm QCC5171 Bluetooth audio system on a chip that unlocks the transmission bandwidth needed for perfect 16-bit 44.1 kHz audio quality and uncompressed. Qualcomm aptX Lossless is the latest codec that has been added to the company’s aptX Adaptive technology and is a new feature of the Snapdragon Sound platform that will soon be available on source devices with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform.
