The place buys adventure park

For the first time since it opened 10 years ago, the adventure park located east of Kelowna on Highway 33 is locally owned.
Greg Fedoriuk, co-owner of Myra Canyon Adventure Park, bought Okanagan Adventure Park earlier this year and will open it to the public on Saturday. The park is located at 5983 Highway 33, which is on the way to Big White.
“We’re ready to go,” Fedoriuk said this week after insurance for the park was finally finalized.
Fedoriuk said the opportunity to make Okanagan Adventure Park a locally owned business was a big reason he was interested in buying it. He also has a lot of experience running an adventure park, and buying it got rid of a competitor.
Okanagan Adventure Park features 20 zip lines, an aerial adventure tour and a massive swing that will get your riders traveling up to 100 miles per hour. It’s the perfect place for a birthday party, a fun weekend event with friends, a first date, a family outing, a bachelor or bachelorette party, or even a work event.
While Myra Canyon is more family-oriented, Okanagan Adventure Park is for a more advanced adventurer, although there are perfect courses for people up to five years old.
Okanagan Adventure Park opened 10 years ago this summer as WildPay Element Parks, but stopped operating in 2018. Another company opened it as Okanagan Adventure Park last July, but offered to sell it to Fedoriuk in January.
To celebrate the new opening of Okanagan Adventure Park this weekend, Fedoriuk has partnered with Castanet in a free contest that will award a lucky winner two passes for the adventure and zip line course. The contest ends on August 8 and you can enter here.
