Olivia Wilde has accused ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis of trying to “sabotage” her by filing custody papers at CinemaCon, calling the move “creepy.”
The “Don’t Worry Darling” director, 38, reflected on the “really vicious” incident in April in a Variety interview published Wednesday.
“Unfortunately, it wasn’t something that completely surprised me,” he admitted.

“I mean, there’s a reason I left this relationship.”
Wilde noted that the only people who “suffered” from the decision were the former couple’s son, Otis, and their daughter, Daisy.
“They will have to see it and they should never know. The victims were an 8-year-old boy and a 5-year-old boy, and that’s very sad,” he said.

“I chose to be an actress; I willingly stepped into the spotlight,” Wilde continued. “But it’s not something my kids asked for. And when my kids get dragged into it, it’s deeply painful.”
The “Booksmart” director insisted she was not “distracted” when she received the documents in a manila envelope, saying: “I had a job to do. It was my workplace.”

That said, the “attack” took attention away from “the work of so many different people,” Wilde added, as he had been giving the first look at “Don’t Worry Darling” at the event.
“It was really upsetting,” he said. “It shouldn’t have happened. There was a huge breach in security, which is scary.”
The “House” alum said the timing “requires foresight,” explaining that attendees had to “jump” over hurdles to get “special badges, plus special COVID tests that had to be done within days in advance, which gave you the wristbands needed to gain access.”
Wilde previously criticized Sudeikis, 46, saying in a court filing earlier this month that she was treated “as aggressively as possible.”
At the time, a source close to the actor told Page Six that he had “no prior knowledge of when or where the envelope would be delivered.”
The former couple separated in 2020 and are fighting for custody of their two children.

Wilde told Variety that she and the “Ted Lasso” star currently share custody.
“They’re my world,” she said after describing home-cooked breakfasts, bedtimes and school trips with Otis and Daisy. “They are my best friends.”

The filmmaker, who is currently in a relationship with Harry Styles, hit back at the criticism she has received for coming out as a mother.
“When people don’t see me with my kids, it’s always like, ‘How dare you?'” she shared. “I’ve never seen anyone say that about a guy. And if he’s with his son, he’s a hero king.”
