UPDATE: 13:10 h
One person has died and another is being treated at Kelowna General Hospital with injuries following a side-by-side dump on the Spion Kop trail system on Saturday morning.
Duane Tresnich, search manager for Central Okanagan Search and Rescue, says the two people were going in the same Polaris RZR before 5 a.m. when the vehicle overturned.
One individual died at the scene, while the other suffered a head injury and was transferred to the KGH.
As a result, the Spion Kop trails were closed on Saturday morning as emergency crews removed the body and vehicle from the scene. It is believed that the roads have now been reopened.
Residents in the area reported that a helicopter appeared to lift one next to the other from the scene around noon on Saturday.

There are reports that the trail network at Spion Kop in Lake Country is closed Saturday morning.
A witness told Castanet that on Saturday morning numerous emergency vehicles were seen in the area and that no one was on the mountain, as access to the trails had been closed by the GRC.
