One man killed and another seriously injured in a shooting in Etobicoke

One man has been killed and another seriously injured after a shooting in Etobicoke on Friday night, according to Toronto police.

Emergency crews were called to the Scarlett Road and Scarlettwood Court area south of Lawrence Avenue West around 10:40 p.m. Friday to report a shooting.

When they arrived, officers located a man with gunshot wounds. Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second victim was admitted to hospital with gunshot wounds, police said. He has serious injuries.

The homicide unit is investigating.
