A MAN has described hearing a motorbike “roaring down the hill” seconds before three young sisters were injured in a crash.
A ten-year-old girl was rushed to hospital with a serious leg injury following the crash outside the Rockstone pub on Monday.
His sisters, aged 11 and 12, suffered minor injuries. They were crossing Onslow Road in Southampton at the time with their mother.
Kevin Belington, 54, was working in a nearby garage when he saw the incident at around 4.40pm.
He said: “I heard the motorbike roaring up the hill and when I turned, I saw the back wheel lift off the ground before it hit the girl as she crossed the road.

Officers have appealed for witnesses to come forward to help with the investigation.
PC Peter Piotrowski said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward and speak to us.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who has CCTV or dash cam footage of the incident, or who may have captured the motorcycle being driven along Portswood Road just before the collision.”
He added: “At the time of the actual collision, the motorcycle was believed to be in convoy with a large black sports-style motorcycle. This rider was wearing a white helmet and was also wearing a T-shirt and shorts.
