Elections Ontario has released preliminary figures on how many Ontarians voted during early voting for the 2022 Ontario election.
He indicated that in the 10-day period for early polls, there were 1,066,545 votes representing about 9.92 percent of eligible voters.
In comparison, in the 2018 provincial elections, when there were five days of early voting, 698,609 voted, which represents 6.8 percent of the eligible population.
“I want to thank all the voters who took advantage of the 10 days of early voting and the staff who continue to help make voting safe, efficient and secure in Ontario,” said Greg Essensa, Ontario’s electoral director. “For those of you who have not yet cast your vote, I invite you to go out and vote on election day.”

Ontarians hoping to vote can do so on election day, June 2.
Voters can find the designated polling place by searching for their postal code online in “Voter Information Service” or by consulting the address listed on their voter information card.
Anyone requesting to vote by mail must ensure that Elections Ontario receives their voting kit before 6 pm on June 2.
Elections Ontario is still asking onttarians to apply online to work as election officials on polling day and said all jobs are paid jobs and will include paid training.
