Ozzy Osbourne feels grateful after his “life-altering” surgery which involved removing and realigning the needles in his neck and back.
“I’m now in the hospital recovering comfortably,” the 73-year-old former Black Sabbath leader wrote on Instagram on Wednesday.
“I definitely feel the love and support of all my fans and send a big thank you to everyone for their thoughts, prayers and good wishes during my recovery,” he added.
Osbourne was discharged from a Los Angeles hospital on Tuesday, a day after undergoing what his wife Sharon Osbourne called “a major operation” that “would determine the rest of his life.”
In addition to suffering from Parkinson’s disease, Ozzy has suffered from neck injuries in a quad accident in 2003. A fall in 2019 made the disease worse, after which he was put on 15 screws in the back.

“I’m just waiting for one more neck surgery,” the rock star told Classic Rock magazine about the unspecified procedure last month.
“I can’t walk well these days. I have physical therapy every morning,” he explained at the time. “I’m a little better, but not even the way I want to be to get back on the road.”

Osbourne’s “major operation” involved removing and realigning the needles from his neck and back.
A relieved Sharon turned to social media to inform her followers that the Prince of Darkness was out of surgery, “okay and on the road to recovery.”
“Our family would like to express our gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love and support he brought to Ozzy’s surgery,” he tweeted, adding, “Your love means the world to him.”
His wife, Shanon Osbourne, told social media users on Tuesday that Ozzy “was fine and on his way to recovery.”
A source close to the family recently told Page Six that there would be “a long amount of convalescence” after the operation and that a nurse would be taken to her home to attend to the “No More Tears” singer.
