Paramount has announced some updates to its release schedule, delaying upcoming projects by several months such as its “A Quiet Place” entry and the “IF” directed by John Krasinski.
“A Quiet Place: Day One,” which previously had no title, will hit theaters on March 8, 2024. The horror film directed by Michael Sarnoski was set to air on September 22, 2023.
Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller and John Krasinski are producers of the film, while Allyson Seeger is executive producer. The details of the plot of the sequel remain secret, although the recently announced title suggests a kind of prequel to the post-apocalyptic series.
The studio’s upcoming film “IF,” directed by John Krasinski and starring Ryan Reynolds. The production has set a new release date for May 24, 2024, having previously been set for November 17, 2023. Krasinski also stars in the film, while the supporting cast includes names such as Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Cailey Fleming, Louis Gossett. Jr., Fiona Shaw, Alan S. Kim and Steve Carell
In addition to starring and being credited as the sole screenwriter and producer on “IF”, Krasinski also serves as a producer, alongside Reynolds and Allyson Seeger. George Dewey and Alexa Ginsburg are executive producers.
“The Tiger’s Apprentice,” an adaptation of Laurence Yep’s fantasy novel of the same name, will be released a few weeks later than originally planned. The film will be released on January 19, 2024, unlike its original date of December 20, 2023.
The animated feature film directed by Raman Hui features a voice cast that includes Henry Golding, Lucy Liu, Brandon Soo Hoo, Sandra Oh, Michelle Yeoh, Leah Lewis, Kheng Hua Tan, Bowen Yang, Sherry Cola, Deborah S. Craig , Jo Koy and Greta Lee. Yong Duk Jhun and Paul Watling are accredited as co-directors.
Jane Startz, Sandra Rabins and Bob Persichetti are producers of “The Tiger’s Apprentice”, while Kane Lee, Brian Oliver, Bradley J. Fischer and Valerii An are executive producers.
Paramount is in charge of the American distribution of “Laal Singh Chaddha”, an upcoming film in Hindi starring Aamir Khan. The film is a remake of the true 1994 blue classic “Forrest Gump,” starring Tom Hanks. Paramount has dated a release of “Laal Singh Chaddha” on August 11th.
Speaking of the winners of the best film of the 1990s, Paramount has chosen to increase its next release of the 25th anniversary of James Cameron’s “Titanic” by a few months, moving the wide release from October 21 to 10 February 2023.
