WASHINGTON – The House committee investigating the attack on the Capitol said it has cited former White House attorney Pat Cipollone, seeking information about concerns he raised about then-President Donald Trump’s action related to the riot of January 6, 2021.
The subpoena comes a day after former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson said Mr. Cipollone had warned of legal dangers if Mr. Trump was marching to the Capitol and had tried to get Mr. Trump summoned the mob after the riots began.
