According to court documents, which have revealed the dispute between the representative of the State of Origin and one of the most powerful agents of the game Chris Orr, Haas recently became suspicious of signing a Broncos contract worth about 6 million dollars which would have been the richest in NRL history for a point ahead.
Haas, who has filed a civil lawsuit against Chris Orr and Original Pro Sports Pty Ltd, which operates as Pacific Sports Management, is now facing a counterclaim from the player’s manager for unpaid $ 201,200 commissions in the NSW Supreme Court.
Orr claims he negotiated a $ 5.75 million deal with the Broncos that would have made Haas one of the richest earners in the NRL, only for the player to refuse to sign the deal in July last year.

Brisbane three-time medalist Paul Morgan of the Year is linked to the Broncos with a contract until the end of 2024, but his proposed new deal would have been an update and extension of his current 3.39 deal. millions of dollars. Orr paid $ 237,300 as an agent fee to negotiate this deal.
Court documents allege Haas earns $ 748,000 this season before his salary increases to $ 798,000 in 2023 and $ 848,000 next year.
But while Haas claims Orr “breached his fiduciary duty” by committing the player and his father Gregor to signing previous agent agreements, the player’s coach has responded with a claim of his own.
