He has been keeping fans up to date with his ‘debilitating’ eye condition as he undergoes surgery.
And Phillip Schofield took to Instagram from hospital on Thursday to reveal that he has now had the ‘floaters’ removed from both eyes.
The presenter, 60, wore an eye patch as he posed for a photo with his doctor and team, adding that he aimed to be “floater-free by the summer”.

Next to the click, he wrote: “Now my right eye is done! Thanks to Professor Stanga and his fantastic team.
“If the success of my summer is being ‘float free’, that’s good enough for me.”

“Finally had the incredibly frustrating ‘floaters’ removed from my left eyeball,” the This Morning anchor wrote.
Speaking about her condition on This Morning in 2020, she revealed: “My retinas don’t detach, but I have debilitating floating eyes.”
He is believed to have undergone a vitrectomy, the surgery he previously described as “the only way” to help with his condition.

“I’m at the forefront of all this, let me tell you, because the only way to treat them is a vitrectomy, where they suck the jelly out of your eye.”
At the time, Phillip explained that he hoped to be the first person in the UK to undergo a ‘half vitrectomy’ procedure, explaining: ‘They are trying to pioneer a half vitrectomy which started in America; see i know a lot about this. !
“You get half of the vitrectomy, it takes the floaters out, but it doesn’t make the cataract. And I hope to be the first person in the country to get that!
‘They drive me crazy! My vision is like a dirty bathroom window going through my eyes and it’s driving me crazy,” the TV personality continued.

Although organizers have given the daytime double act a nod, Alison Hammond, 47, one of the presenters on Friday’s show, has been given the nod.
She will be up against Ant and Dec, both 46, who have been shortlisted for the 21st year in a row, while the ITV show will compete with The Chase, The Repair Shop and Loose Women for the Daytime award.
With a new facility at Wembley’s OVO Arena, the star-studded awards will be broadcast live on ITV on September 15 from 8pm, with Joel Dommett hosting.
