But in a recent test, Phison tested its new E26 SSD driver on AMD’s next-generation X670 chipset using the ASUS X670 Crosshair Hero motherboard. In this new test, we see that Phison’s next-generation E26 PCIe 5.0 SSD driver is capable of reading a lot of 12.5 GB / s and 10 GB / s writes.
If you have a new Intel Z690-based motherboard or one of the upcoming next-generation AMD X670 or X670E-based motherboards, then you’re in for the world of PCIe 5.0 SSDs. That is, if you have the need … the need for speed … and the lust for more and more storage performance.
Phison shows a huge 12.5 GB / s which is amazing to see as an enthusiast because I love pushing 7 GB / s + on my Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus SSDs. But 12.5 GB / sec + is another level.
