Vegan activists threw fences near Buckingham Palace during Trooping the Color before being approached by police.
Protesters from the Animal Rebellion campaign group, carrying placards saying “let’s get the royal land back,” arrived at the mall despite the huge security operation. Some were pulled into the path of a military gang before being dragged by police.
The group tweeted: “Animal rebels are disrupting the Queen’s platinum jubilee celebrations by demanding that the royal land be reclaimed. This summer we are taking bigger measures against the dairy industry than ever before, and we need you.”
