PlayStation Plus will add 8 Yakuza games in 2022

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that eight Yakuza games will be heading to PlayStation Plus this year.

First up is Yakuza: Like A Dragon, which will be available to all PlayStation Plus subscribers as part of the just-announced gaming lineup for August.

Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 will launch as part of the August games catalog lineup for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members.

Also coming later this year are Yakuza 3 Remastered, Yakuza 4 Remastered and Yakuza 5 Remastered for PlayStation Plus Premium members, while Yakuza 6: The Song of Life will be available for Extra and Premium members.

The first footage of the upcoming Yakuza game apparently surfaced online last week, when MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura posted a video of himself taking a studio tour of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has confirmed that it is working on a sequel to Yakuza: Like A Dragon and a new IP.

Following an earlier leak, Sony announced on Wednesday that August’s PlayStation Plus games will be Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 (PS5/PS4), Yakuza: Like a Dragon (PS5/PS4) and Little Nightmares (PS4) .

All three games will be available for subscribers to claim from August 2nd to September 6th.

PlayStation Plus games from July can still be claimed until August 1st. They are Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time (PS5/PS4), The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan (PS4) and Arcadegeddon (PS5/PS4).
