The June 3 PlayStation State of Play presentation had much more exciting content than we expected, including several upcoming PS5 and PSVR 2 games. It even included an unexpected PC ad for Spider-Man and a remake of one of the most beloved Resident Evil games. It was a lot of processing in just 30 minutes, so we put together the most important ads and games.

After the well-received remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident 3, Capcom has taken the unbelievable step to remake Resident Evil 4, arguably the best horror game of all time. It’s being done on the RE Engine, as are the latest Resident Evil and Devil May Cry 5 games, and will also support PlayStation VR 2 content sometime in the future. The game is scheduled to be released on March 23, 2023 for PS5 and will make some changes to the history of the original version without changing its “essence”.

It’s no longer connected to the PUBG universe, but The Callisto Protocol from Dead Space co-creator Glen Schofield’s Striking Distance looks awesome. The survival horror game is set on a desolate, snowy planet with many mutated creatures. With slow movement and deliberate aim, it certainly seems to go through an old-school horror atmosphere, abandoning the more action-oriented approach of modern AAA games in favor of something scary. It will arrive on PS4, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One on December 2nd.

Street Fighter 6 was mocked a few months ago, but had a full revelation of the game during the event, and it looks great. A new style of art is a little more “realistic” without abandoning the exaggerated action for which the series is known, and the favorite characters of fans like Chun-Li and Ryu appeared. We were also able to see a brief overview of the free roaming game that includes even a bit of melee action, but we’ll have to wait a bit to see it in action. Street Fighter 6 arrives on PS5 and PS4 in 2023.
