Poco’s latest smartphones break the cover before the official launch

TL; DR

  • The next two Poco phones have been leaked online.
  • The Poco F4 is identical to the Redmi K40s, except for a different main camera.
  • Meanwhile, the Poco X4 GT seems to be based on a previously released Redmi phone.

Poco confirmed that it will launch the Poco F4 and Poco X4 GT worldwide on June 23, adding that the previous device will arrive with a Snapdragon 870 chipset. Now, it looks like the phones have been completely leaked.

We already know what Poco F4 will look like due to Indian reviewers posting images online. But the always reliable German point of sale WinFuture has also fully detailed the specifications and, in fact, is largely in line with the Redmi K40s only in China.

Little F4: What to know?

Apart from the aforementioned Snapdragon 870 SoC, the new phone will be equipped with a 6.67-inch OLED display at 120 Hz (2,400 x 1,080, Gorilla Glass 5), 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.

Poco’s next F-series phone will also feature a 4,500 mAh battery, a 67 W cable charge (no wireless charging here) and a triple rear camera system. The company previously confirmed that it will have a 64 MP primary camera with OIS, but WinFuture adds that the phone also has an ultra-large 8 MP camera and a 2 MP macro sensor. A 20 MP camera is said to handle selfies and video calls.

In other words, the only major difference between the Poco F4 and the Redmi K40s seems to be the change from a 48MP main shooter to a 64MP sensor.

Little X4 GT: a powerful mid-range

We didn’t know much about the Poco X4 GT, but WinFuture claims that the phone is essentially a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 11T Pro Plus. That said, the specs given here seem more in line with the Redmi Note 11T Pro.

Expect a 6.6-inch 120 Hz (FHD +) LCD panel, a Mediatek Dimensity 8100 processor, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 5,080mAh battery with 67W cable charging. the Poco X series also comes with a triple rear camera system (64MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro), a 20MP selfie camera and a 3.5mm port.

Both phones are also expected to have dual SIM support and MIUI’s Poco taste on Android 12.

Prices for Poco F4, X4 GT

The Poco F4 could be priced at just under € 430 (~ $ 447), while the Poco X4 GT is said to be priced at under € 400 (~ $ 416). This puts the first at a contact distance from the Pixel 6a and the Samsung Galaxy A53. Meanwhile, the latter is in line with devices like Samsung’s cheapest Galaxy A series phones.

We’ll have to wait until June 23 to see if these leaks are met, but it looks like both phones may be worth a look if you need a well-rounded mid-range.
