Police alert: At least five cities are issuing warnings about a man who may be targeting young women

MILFORD, Mass. – Police in several communities warn women who are on the lookout for a man to destroy vehicles and then offer to help women who are stranded, unaware that the man offering the assistance caused the damage.

Incidents have been reported in Franklin, Holliston, Milford, Medway and Bellingham.

Milford Police Deputy Chief of Staff John Sanchioni said Saturday night in Boston 25 that they had requested an arrest warrant for Alexander Yee of Winchendon for an incident in his hometown. Sanchioni says Yee intentionally vandalized a woman’s car on the Milford Target last Saturday when he allegedly spilled juice on his gas tank. Sanchioni says Yee has refused to surrender. Milford police say Yee is about 30 years old and is driving a blue Chevy Impala with MA license plates.

By Milford Police: Mr. Yee confessed to pouring juice into the woman’s car and told police he liked to do this. Charge: willful and malicious destruction of property in excess of $ 1,200.00. Milford police say his agent called Yee, who refused to come to the police station. @ boston25

“She’s been targeting young women by flattening their tires, filling gas tanks with water and offering to take them home. If your vehicle has a flat tire, DON’T try to get it running.” according to the Milford department post on Facebook.

Other communities also sounded the alarm, including Holliston.

“Over the past week, there have been local reports of a person attempting to deactivate cars operated by young women. then approach the woman to offer help in the form of a battery, an air compressor, or a trip, “according to a Holliston police post.

“As in all situations, keep in mind that the people offering help may have been involved in orchestrating the situation. If your car is deactivated, wait in a safe place for a friend, family member, or AAA to respond. Holliston police said.

Franklin police said the man wanted for the incidents was spotted in his hometown on Friday.

“If your vehicle is tampered with or breaks down shortly after it starts, give us a call,” Franklin police said in a Facebook post.

Bellingham local authorities also issued a warning about the man.

“He is suspected of driving a vehicle in the Charles River Center and then approached the woman when he found her vehicle was deactivated,” Bellingham police said in a Facebook post. “Please be vigilant and let us know immediately if you notice any suspicious activity. As a precaution, try to park in well-lit areas and avoid walking towards your vehicle alone whenever possible.”

Medway police are also involved in this investigation.

Anyone concerned is asked to call their local police departments if they believe their vehicle has been tampered with.
