London police are calling on the public to help find a driver who seriously injured a pedestrian by hitting him with the open door of his moving car.

London police are calling on the public to help find a driver who seriously injured a pedestrian by hitting him with the open door of his moving car.

The incident took place around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday in the Byron Avenue and Birch Street area of Wortley Village, police said Friday.
Police allege that the driver opened the car door, argued with the pedestrian, then backed away and hit the pedestrian, who was taken to hospital with serious injuries that did not endanger the life.
The vehicle is a small black hatchback, possibly a Mazda, with winter tires, police said.
The driver is described as a 30-year-old man with short, dark hair wearing a button-down shirt.
