A strong police presence in the area of Second Line and Walters Street is the result of a search warrant being carried out in connection with the recent shooting on Beverley Street, according to a press release issued today.
The investigation into the May 29 shooting led to the arrest of a 40-year-old suspect, Travis Parsons, on charges of attempted murder, as well as other gun-related crimes.
Eric Mearow, 37, is also being held in custody for attempted murder.
Police warn the public that the weapon used during the May 29 shooting incident has not been recovered and Mearow must be considered armed and dangerous.
