Tyrese Belmore, 19, of Sioux Lookout, died in an incident Wednesday morning.
THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay police have named Tyrese Belmore, 19, of Sioux Lookout, a June 1 homicide victim at a Shipley Street residence.
Belmore was taken to hospital with fatal injuries by private citizens following the incident.
Police were called to the Thunder Bay Regional Center for Health Sciences, where Belmore was pronounced dead from his injuries.
An autopsy has since been completed.
The investigation is now in the hands of the TBPS senior crime unit, with the help of the forensic identification unit.
Police are investigating both the address of Shipley Street and an address on Block 200 of Brock Street E. in connection with the homicide.
