Two men and a woman driving a white Cadillac CTS in the early 2000s are being searched by police after a robbery at a Wakaw pharmacy.
The incident took place around 2.30pm on Saturday 2 July on Island 100 on 1st Street. After officers confirmed that no one had been injured, they began searching for the suspects: two tall, thin black men. . Witnesses said they both spoke with accents. They wore masks at the time of the robbery. The third suspect is a heavy-bodied indigenous woman who was waiting in the vehicle while the robbery took place.
Investigators determined that two suspicious men entered the pharmacy and threatened the employees with bear spray. They fled with an undisclosed amount of prescription drugs and left Wakaw heading north on First Avenue.
“Wakaw is in the Land of Lakes and in the summer our community is full of visitors. July 2 was no exception,” said Cst. Brendin Feere with the Wakaw RCMP. “We ask anyone who he was on 1st Street around the time of the robbery checking his phone to see if he took any photos or videos between 2pm and 3pm. Even something as simple as a selfie can contain information that researchers can use. “
