Police arrest man after incident of indecent exposure in Richmond Hill

Police say a man is facing charges after a suspect exposed a mother and her two children in a Richmond Hill park last weekend.

Investigators said the first incident occurred on July 2 at approximately 10:25 a.m. in Alias Grace Park, near Yonge Street and Gamble Road, in Richmond Hill.

At the time, police allege that a mother and her two young children were in the park when a suspicious man approached them.

The suspect then took off his pants and exposed himself to the family, police said.

Police said a day later they received three additional complaints from a suspect with the same description that was exposed to people in the Valmont Avenue and Waterstone Street area.

Images of the suspect were released Monday by investigators to try to identify him.

York Regional Police say Tuesday morning at 6 a.m., they searched a residence in Richmond Hill and arrested a 30-year-old man inside.

He faces five charges of indecent act and one felony of indecent exposure.

Police refused to identify the man on unspecified “factors.”
