A major road is cut in both directions after a man was injured in a motorcycle accident.
Merseyside police rushed to Hawthorne Road in Kirkdale around 4:25 p.m., Monday, June 20, following reports of an accident. Once officers arrived at the scene, they found a Ford Puma and a motorcycle had crashed into the road.
Merseyside police called the Northwest Ambulance Service to attend the scene, as the 50-year-old motorist had a leg injury. Officers cut off the road while emergency services responded to the incident.

The driver of the car has stopped at the scene and is assisting officers in their investigation.
A Merseyside police spokesman said: “We were called at 4.25pm today to report a collision between a Ford Puma and a motorbike on Hawthorne Road. The driver of the bicycle, a man of about 50 years old, suffered a leg injury.
“There are currently roadblocks in the area for everyone to consult.”
