Police are treating the discovery of what are believed to be human remains in a forest as inexplicable.
Forensic searches are currently underway at the scene following the sad finding around 4pm on Saturday.
The Wallsall area, near Cuckoo’s Nook, Sutton Road, has been cordoned off by officers as they conduct further searches.

Birmingham Live reports that the incident has now been referred to forensics.
A West Midlands police spokeswoman said: “We are investigating the discovery of what are believed to be human remains in the forest near Cuckoos Nook, Sutton Road, Walsall shortly before 4pm yesterday (June 4). .
“The area has been cordoned off for the forensic recovery of the remains and for further searches.
“The discovery is being treated as unexplained at this time, and we have referred this incident to the coroner.”
Cuckoo’s Nook and the Dingle is classified as a Local Nature Reserve (NRL) and a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC).
