Police have identified a 34-year-old man who died after an assault in central Toronto

Toronto police have revealed the identity of a man who died as a result of an assault outside a popular nightclub on Queen Street West in the city center.

Officers were called in front of Warehouse at 232 Queen Street West, near John Street, for a medical call shortly before 9:30 p.m., May 22.

According to police, one victim was attacked by two other men and was found with head injuries that were life-threatening when officers arrived. He was rushed to hospital by paramedics in Toronto, where he died of his injuries two days later, on May 24.

Toronto police on Monday identified the victim as Jason Rumley, 34, of Caledon.

The two suspects are described as men between the ages of 20 and 30, between five feet ten and six feet. They were black with dark complexion and medium complexion.

The homicide unit has taken over the investigation and is urging anyone with information about the fatal incident to report it to the police.
