Police have identified a woman found dead in Brighton’s Queen’s Park

Police believe they have discovered the identity of the woman found dead in one of the city’s parks.

Police have informed his relatives and will support them during the investigation.

It occurs even though there is no formal identification.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Wolstenhome said: “This has been a quick investigation that has involved colleagues of all strength as we worked to find out the circumstances surrounding this sad death.

“Although no formal identification has been made, we believe that we have identified the woman and informed her relatives, whom we will continue to support through the investigation.

“We look forward to tracking your recent movements and would like to hear from anyone who was in Queens Park on Friday, June 17 and have information about this incident. Please contact us.”

Police were in the park all day Saturday

One woman said, “This is so horrible. Poor woman and so horrible for her family and friends. I live two minutes from the park and I’m amazed to hear that.

Emergency services were called at 9:49 p.m. Friday night for reports of an unconscious woman in the park. She was pronounced dead at the arrival of ambulance crews.
