The Surrey RCMP is requesting public assistance in identifying the suspect in a stabbing in Guildford.
On June 2, 2022, at approximately 12:55 p.m., the Surrey RCMP received a report that a woman had been stabbed inside a grocery store located at 14600 Block on 104th Street. arrived a few minutes after the call and located a victim who had apparent stab wounds. The victim received first aid at the scene and was then taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit has conducted the investigation and is actively working to identify and locate the suspect who fled the area immediately after the stabbing.
The suspect is described as a 30-year-old woman with long dark hair, a navy blue V-neck shirt, black pants, white shoes and a blue wallet.
Early indications are that the parties did not know each other and that there was no apparent confrontation that the police knew prior to the incident. At this point, no possible reason is known.
We are launching a photo of the suspect and asking for the public’s help in identifying him, says Surrey RCMP Media Relations Officer Corporal Vanessa Munn. If anyone has information about the identity of the suspect, we recommend that you contact our investigators.
