Police post an e-fit image after a child is sexually assaulted in a forest

Police have released a picture of a man they would like to talk to after a child is sexually assaulted in the woods. The incident took place in Stockport earlier this month.

GMP only received a report of the incident on Monday this week. A teenager was attacked in a forest near the city center on Sunday, May 8, 2022 between 5 and 7 p.m.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s and 50s, about 6 feet 4 inches tall, thin, with wrinkled skin and long, bare nails. He had a long nose and thin brown hair, and wore black spectacles; he also had stubble with a few gray hairs.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a smart polo shirt with a red logo on the top corner, dark blue jeans, and possibly brown or muddy shoes.

Detective Chief Inspector Simon Moyles of GMP’s Stockport division said: “This is a horrific assault that has left the young victim traumatized, and has the support of officers and specialist services. Investigations are underway. course to establish exactly where the attack took place.

“I can assure the community that while we have not received any further reports of this nature in the time before or after this incident, we have increased patrols throughout the district.”
