Hamilton police say he was called to three shootings that occurred Monday over an 80-minute period, including an incident in which someone was shot.
Investigators say at 10:30 p.m., they were called to an AirBnB rented house in the Mohawk Road West and Magnolia Driver area.
“One of the occupants negligently threw a firearm inside the residence and caused minor damage,” officers said Tuesday.
The suspect in this incident is described as a white man about 30 years old, five feet nine inches tall and of average build.
About ten minutes later, police were called to Main Street East and Holton Avenue South for another shooting.
One person was hit by a gunshot and had to be taken to hospital to treat life-threatening injuries.
The suspect in the incident fled the scene before police arrived.
He is described as a black man five feet ten inches tall, with short dreadlocks, a blue tracksuit, and white slippers.
At 11:50 p.m., officers were called to a third scene of the shooting on Douglas and Mars Avenues.
Investigators located evidence of several shots fired at a house.
No one was injured in the incident.
Investigators say they are asking anyone who was nearby around 11:15 p.m. to have a surveillance camera or dashboard camera images to contact them.
