Police responded once again to a Nickel Road home in Rutland overnight.

Shortly before midnight, several officers responded to 235 Nickel Road, the same house where a serious baseball bat assault occurred in April.

Police arrived at the home and told those inside to leave, communicating through a loudspeaker.

A neighbor in the area tells Castanet that between six and ten people came out, and it seems that at least some of them were arrested.

Officers entered the home and reportedly removed several firearms from the residence. They prevented pedestrians from passing through the house while the incident was happening.

It is unclear what prompted the police response, but Castanet has contacted Kelowna’s RCMP for more information.

In late April, police rushed to the same home after a 33-year-old man was seriously injured when he was allegedly hit with a baseball bat. The suspects in that attack had fled the scene before police arrived, and it is unclear if they ever stopped.
