The Duke of York will miss the Queen’s Jubilee Thanksgiving Service at St Paul’s Cathedral tomorrow after giving a positive for Covid.
Prince Andrew was to join the extended royal family in the service, the only official platinum jubilee event he was scheduled to attend.
However, a spokesman for Buckingham Palace said today: “After a routine test, the Duke has tested positive for Covid and will regretfully fail to attend tomorrow’s service.”
It is understood that Andrew has seen the queen in recent days, but has been doing regular tests and has not seen her since she tested positive.
The prince’s last public appearance was at a memorial service for his father, the Duke of Edinburgh in March.
