No surprise, but Sony really wants to fix these ongoing PS5 stock issues. The current generation console is still affected by supply chain issues, both in terms of manufacturing and shipping.

The Japanese giant says continuous supply problems are a “top priority” in its latest business overview, but expects things to improve a lot in the relatively near future. He points out that, as we already know, the PS5 has lagged behind in terms of sales compared to the first two years of the PS4 on the market. However, in the third year of the PS5, which would begin this November and last until 2023, Sony hopes to get back on track the box of the current generation. Then, in 2024, the PS5 should once again surpass its predecessor.

So how will Sony really fix its supply situation? Well, to begin with, parts are now sourced from various vendors, expanding production plans so that they don’t necessarily have to be detected when a shortage occurs. It is also in the process of negotiating new delivery routes so that it can take PS5s more efficiently to where they need to be. At least in the short term, these steps should help mitigate supply problems as the whole process slowly returns to normal.

Do you think these PS5 stock issues would last that long? You can still find a PS5 in the comments section below.
