A 20-year-old man from Winkler has died in a single-vehicle incident at around 5.15pm on Thursday at Roland’s MRI. The RCMP reported that the vehicle had been traveling east on the 19 N road when it entered, at an angle, the ditch where it collided with a landfill drain and overturned. When officers arrived at the scene, the vehicle was on the roof of the landfill and submerged in water. Firefighters removed the man, who was alone, from the vehicle, the RCMP determined that the driver was wearing a seat belt at the time, and noted that alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the incident. The investigation continues.
