Qantas Airways has reorganized its flight schedule from London’s Heathrow Airport amid the center’s movement to limit passenger capacity and limit disruptions, an Australian airline spokesman said on Monday.
The airline delayed the departure of its London-Perth flight by three hours on Sunday and has delayed the departure of its London-Singapore flight by nine hours on Tuesday, with other possible changes, as Britain’s busiest airport seeks to limit queues. luggage delays and cancellations until September.
“We have two flights a day to London and we want to preserve them at any cost, as people’s travel plans are at stake,” the Qantas spokesman said.

The advance of the London-Singapore departure on Tuesday will result in an 11-hour stopover in Singapore before the plane continues to Sydney, during which time Qantas will provide accommodation for passengers.
“We have managed to negotiate a solution that is not perfect, but that will bring our customers to their destination,” the spokesman said.
“We continue to work with Heathrow to improve this situation.”

Aviation data company OAG estimated last week that passenger limits at Heathrow would amount to $ 550 million ($ 807 million) in lost revenue from airlines.
