The Queen’s historic reign will be commemorated in countries around the world, with the British Office for Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development (FCDO) leading a series of international events.
French President Emmanuel Macron will lead a Thanksgiving and Recognition ceremony for the Queen on the Arc de Triomphe on Thursday, with the support of a band from the Royal Scottish Regiment.

Beacons will be lit in the capitals of the Commonwealth: 54 in total. The event in Wellington, New Zealand, will begin at the steps of the Tangi Te Keo Mount Victoria lookout with a Maori prayer known as “karakia”. Firefighters from Valparaíso and Santiago de Chile will carry the Platinum Jubilee emblem, while the British embassy in Santiago will host its first street party to commemorate the occasion.
U.S.-based FCDO staff will host a series of celebratory events in Washington, New York, Chicago, Houston, San Francisco, Boston, Miami, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis.
British ambassadors and high commissioners around the world have named 70 of their favorite recipes for a special Platinum Jubilee cookbook, which includes many dishes that are served to the queen on overseas visits.
