The ATP introduced new rules related to bathing breaks in November last year in response to some controversial circumstances. Stefanos Tsitsipas was subjected to heavy scrutiny during his U.S. Open game against Andy Murray after a seven-minute break.
The new rules state that players “can only take one break for the toilet per game” and “can only take one break during a given break”. The Christmas question about resting on the toilet came when Zverev was being treated in the locker room with his foot damaged.
