Neoma Fernando, of Campbelltown, Sydney, was taking her dog Butter for a walk when she decided to stop to take a picture of a Qantas plane flying overhead, something she had never done before.
He hoped it would be his boyfriend pilot, but he never thought that would be the case.
In a now viral TikTok, Neoma revealed that it was actually him, sharing a screenshot of his text exchange with his response leaving her in a state of shock.
“So a plane flew over me today while I was walking down Butter and I thought it might be you ?!” he said in the text.
“I know you land around 5.55?”
She sent her a picture of the plane to which she took a picture, to which she replied, “Girl, you could let me SEE!”
He then sent her a screenshot of a map showing where her plane was at the time she made the image, which was Tuesday, May 3rd.
“THIS IS ME,” he said in a text.
“At 5.27am I finished Minto!”
A very outraged Neoma replied: “No way. WHAT POSSIBILITIES ARE THERE ”.
Since then, his video has exploded with nearly a million views, more than 128,000 ‘likes’ and hundreds of comments.
“OMG THAT’S SO GOOD,” wrote an equally surprised TikTok user.
“No, this is the prettiest thing ever, as your instinct has just told you it’s him,” a second person wrote.
A third person said, “THIS IS MAKING ME CRY, PLEASE, THIS IS THE MOST BALL THING EVER.”
Others agreed that the clip made them “cry,” while some shared similar experiences.
“This has happened to me too !!! I met my boyfriend online for the first time and his plane flew over me while I was going to pick him up,” one woman wrote.
“I took a picture of my fiancé’s plane when I was returning to the United States from the United Kingdom via Amsterdam; the flight route was in sight from my bedroom window,” another wrote.
