It’s happening, okay. Polium, a Web 3 company (Web 3 is an idea of a new version of the Internet we know today, with a form distributed on the blog chain) has unveiled the first NFT video game console this weekend.
Called Polium One, this little black box wants to be “a multi-chain console for Web 3 games” and will have existing and exclusive games on the system when it launches sometime in 2024. And although the console has received some criticism. Online, some of you eagle-eyed Twitter users have spotted some similarities between the Polium logo and that of a particular Nintendo console.
Just take a closer look at the box or the center button on the controller in the following tweet. Turn it around a bit. Add a line. You see it?

Maybe “do you feel it?” It may be a better question, if you are familiar with the starting sound of GameCube, that is. If you flip the Polium logo and draw a line in the middle, ta-da! And it didn’t take long for people to start joining the company because of the similarities.

Today, Polium responded to claims that the company had “copied” the GameCube logo, explaining its plans for the blockchain console on social media, stating that the “P” shape was for Polium and the cube in the half represents the sale of the console. -point – NFT and blockchain.

Even though Polium has said it will change its logo and come up with something original, do you think people stopped making fun of the online business? Of course not. Sometimes we can rely on Twitter to make a good laugh in the afternoon, especially one related to Nintendo.

The GameCube is not the only logo with which the Polium logo has been compared. Minecraft fans have also quickly pointed out that the small “P” of the Polium One is somewhat reminiscent of PebbleHost, a well-known reputable server hosting service used for Minecraft.

Or maybe Polium is just a big fan of British publisher PQube, which has helped bring games like New Super Lucky’s Tale and Cat Quest to Switch, and is releasing the next Potion Permit.

It’s a pretty popular form of logo, no doubt, but even if it’s a coincidence, it’s hard not to notice the similarities with these designs, especially that of GameCube, which has long been established as a legendary video game console logo. .
We’ll have to see what the new Polium One logo will look like.
