Rebekah Vardy believes she is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after losing her so-called “Wagatha Christie” legal battle against Coleen Rooney, adding that she has been taken to hospital twice since the episode began.
The wife of Leicester striker Jamie Vardy said she felt like her life was “falling apart” and was “physically, emotionally and mentally” exhausted.
Last week, a High Court judge found that a viral social media post by Rooney about Vardy was “substantially true”.
Speaking to The Sun, Ms Vardy said she had been admitted to hospital twice for treatment for mental health issues since the original publication in 2019.
“I felt like my life was falling apart”
“I was having severe panic attacks,” she said.
“I had kidney stones brought on by stress and felt like my life was falling apart. It was physically, emotionally and mentally draining.
He added: “It was exhausting. I had to go to hospital a couple of times because they were so concerned about my mental wellbeing.
“And from the court case, I think I’m probably suffering from PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder).
“I feel physically sick when I talk about the trial and what happened, and I have nightmares.
“I haven’t gone for a diagnosis yet, but I know I probably need more therapy. It’s been a horrible time.”
