The Daytime Emmy Awards are kicking off Friday at the Pasadena Civic Center, where awards will be presented in 14 tent categories celebrating the best of daytime television. Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner host the 49th Annual Honors, which airs live tonight from 6 ET / PT on CBS and airs on Paramount +.
The red carpet opened with people like Susan Lucci, president and CEO of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Adam Sharp, Cynthia Watros, Deidre Hall, Nancy Lee Grahn, Kelly Monaco, Cassandra Creech, Finola Hughes and more.
The star of Grahn General Hospital protested the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade with earrings with the word “choice” and having written “Reproductive Freedom” on the skin under the neckline.
The young and the restless, the General Hospital and the days of our lives spend this year’s camp with 18, 17 and 11 nominations each, respectively; they’re all on the run for the exceptional daytime drama series tonight along with The Bold and the Beautiful and the Peacock’s Days Beyond Salem spin-off.
The Kelly Clarkson Show and The View have nine nominations each this year, with Kelly Clarkson arriving tonight with four major victories already from last week’s creative arts ceremony.
