Reported firearms stolen in Desbarats

JOHNSON TOWNSHIP – On July 5, 2022 shortly after 10:15 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Eastern Algomach Detachment responded to a break-in and entry to a Kensington Road residence in Ontario. city ​​of Desbarats.

The investigation determined sometime between 12:00 on July 4 and 9:30 in the morning of July 5, 2022, unknown people entered the residence through a basement door and damaged a weapons locker. which contained three firearms which were later stolen. Numerous drawers, cupboards throughout the residence, and a jewelry box had been opened and passed.

The stolen items are: • a 308 Savage rifle • two 12-caliber Remington shotguns • jewelry • prescription drugs with six morphine pills
