RimWorld, the acclaimed sci-fi colony simulator from developer Ludeon Studios, will finally make the leap to consoles, about three and a half years after its full PC release, on July 29th.
RimWorld, of course, has marked strength in the computer since its early access arrival in 2013, in part because of its wonderful combination of simulated management action and procedural narration, but also because of the way their complex systems can fall apart quickly. total debauchery, ranging from drug-fueled cannibalism to non-consensual body gathering.
In March word got out that a console version of RimWorld was finally on its way, though not through official channels. Instead, the port, managed by Double Eleven Limited, which has previously helped bring in consoles like Minecraft Dungeons and Rust, hit the headlines when it was classified as rejected in Australia.

With this particular hurdle now removed after a successful call, Ludeon Studios is finally ready to release RimWorld: Console Edition to the world, with creator Tynan Sylvester confirming the Xbox and PlayStation release date on July 29 on Twitter.
A post attached to the PlayStation blog has also shed a little more light on the console port, promising extensive optimizations, an intuitive interface “that doesn’t lose its details and functionality”, and control support designed so that “everything is fast with easy entries, creating a fast, smooth and intuitive experience “.
RimWorld: Console Edition will be released for PS4 and Xbox One on July 29, and will be released along with a digital Deluxe edition that includes three days of early access and the RimWorld Royalty DLC. The latter can also be purchased separately from day one.
