A “serious” traffic accident has provoked a major response from emergency services in Wirral this morning.
At around 9.10am, emergency services were called to Old Chester Road, near Bebington Railway Station, following reports of a collision between a Renault Kadjar and a woman about 60 years. The woman has been taken to hospital with a head injury, which is being evaluated.
The driver stayed at the scene to assist police in their investigation and the road was partially cut off. Access to the station is by the entrance near Aldi at the moment.

The road was closed around the railway bridge near New Ferry and Sunlight Port.
An air ambulance was called but the woman was taken to hospital by road.
