Bayern Munich’s Wantaway star Robert Lewandowski has reiterated his position that he wants to leave the club, saying that the German giants have “died” inside him.
Lewandowski has publicly expressed his desire to leave Bayern this summer, to the wrath of his board, with Barcelona as his favorite destination.
Last month, the 33-year-old submitted a transfer request and, after offering an update on his future recently, Barcelona’s goal was not stopped.

“I just want to leave Bayern. Loyalty and respect are more important than work. It’s best to find a solution together,” he told Sport Onet.
‘They didn’t want to hear me until the end. Something died inside me, and it’s impossible to overcome. Even if you want to be professional, you can’t make up for it. I was not even offered any other offer than the one in Barcelona. I want to leave Bayern, that’s for sure.
“For so many years at the club I was always ready, available, despite injuries and pain, I gave my best. I think it’s best to find a good solution for both parties. And not look for a unilateral decision.
“I am not looking for a unilateral, meaningless solution, not after so long, after such a successful time and with my will and support.”
Lewandowski’s frustrations continued as he warned Bayern that no potential star will want to join the club in the future if they do not allow him to end his eight-year stay at Allianz Stadium.
Liverpool striker Sadio Mane has been linked with a possible replacement this summer.

“What kind of player would want to go to Bayern knowing that something like this could happen to them? Where is the loyalty and respect then?
“I was always ready, I spent eight nice years here, I met wonderful people and I wish it would continue like this in my mind.”
Lewandowski’s contract with Bayern is extended until 2023, but he has made it clear that he has no plans to extend and wants to leave.
He has enjoyed a sensational eight-year season in Bavaria, scoring 344 goals in 375 appearances. This season he has scored 50 goals in 46 games.
Since arriving from Borussia Dortmund in 2014, Bayern’s No. 9 has won 14 major honors at the club, including eight Bundesliga and Champions League 2019-20 titles.
