Rod Stewart has joked that his wife Penny Lancaster has “something” to do with Prince Charles as the rocker details his wife’s love affair with the royal.
During the bizarre BBC breakfast interview, the legendary 77-year-old rocker also said the queen is like a sister to him, ahead of her performance at the Jubilee concert on Saturday.
Speaking to Naga Munchetty from her luxurious London home, she said: “She [Her Majesty] she’s been so much a part of my life that she’s almost like a sister, she’s always been in the background ’.

Rod will perform two songs at the star-studded concert alongside people such as Diana Ross, Elton John and Queen.

The presenter asked what Penny’s reaction would be, to which Rod confirmed, “She’s going to die of embarrassment.”
“I wish he was dead right now,” he joked as he began to get up from his chair. “Okay, I’m going home.”
