Grammy-winning rapper Roddy Ricch was arrested with a pistol – and an extended magazine – at a security checkpoint before performing at Governor’s Ball at Citi Field on Saturday night, according to police.
The 23-year-old rapper, whose real name is Rodrick Moore, was in the 2020 black Cadillac Escalade with two more men stopped at a security checkpoint around 6:20 p.m., just hours before the event began. an employee with a private security company hired for the Queens concert saw the 9mm Canik under a seat, according to police.
Authorities also found an extensive magazine containing nine rounds of ammunition, a police spokesman said.
“The reason we’re doing these checkpoints is specifically for this purpose. We don’t want people to put guns in this place,” a New York City police official told The Post on Sunday.

Moore, of Los Angeles, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, possession of a large-capacity ammunition feeding device and possession of an illegal feeding device, police said.
Carlos Collins, 57, of NJ, and Michael Figueroa, 46, of Brooklyn, also face gun charges, police said.
Moore, who won a Grammy for Best Rap Performance in 2020 and has been nominated 10 times for Best Music Award, was scheduled to perform at the popular event on Saturday.
